Gravestone

Gravesite

Pictures #10 and 11 - "Final resting place of the family Surber." Susan and I enjoyed walking through this small cemetery full of flowers. We also found a Schmid family gravesite here and numerous other Schmid tombstones in nearby towns. (Barbara Schmid (1682/3-1724/5) was the first wife of Old Henry and mother of Young Henry.)

Fountain

Picture #12 - This fountain made from the old town schoolhouse had several old crests, but alas, not a Surber one.

Coming up hill

Picture #13 - At each end of Regensberg, there is now a steep street lined with houses. This one leads up to the tower end.

Pictures #15 - Beyond the hill of Regensberg is rich-looking farmland.

Steinmaur Church

Pictures #16 - Current building of the Reformierte Kirchgemeinde Steinmaur-Neerach, the Reformed church in Steinmaur and Neerach. This is the church with the handwritten records Jack and Carol Lewis saw with the 1724 listing of our ancestors.
